A FUNDRAISING THEATRE PLAY FOR ACT FOR REF - 26 MAY 2023
Let's meet on Friday 26th of May at 8:30 p.m. in Villefranche-sur-Saône at théâtre Pêle-Mêle 171 Rue Jean Michel Savigny, to watch a theatre adaptation of Stefan Zweig's novel "The chess player", by Michel Bernier from the "Le Fier Monde" theatre company! The price is 10 euros and will be used for our actions to help asylum seekers and refugees!

SYRIA'S TERRIBLE HEARTHQUAKE
Act For Ref wants to help the victims and took part in gathering nappies and baby powder milk with the collective "Earthquake in Syria: Lyon Response".

Our general assemby took place in our shelter home in the 8th arrondissement of Lyon. It was a friendly time and the occasion to talk about all what Act For Ref did in 2021. We are looking for several volunteers to give French classes every Monday night from 6 p.m to 8 p.m in a room lent by the Lyon 3 university (Manufacture des Tabacs), to store, sort and prepare our sets for new-borns in the Lyon area and to join our new action Act For Ref - Social Club to take asylum seekers and refugees on cultural and leisure outings as well as go with them to some admin appointments. Charity evening organized by the Franco-Irish association of Lyon with auction sale for various associations including Act For Ref.
For those who can not be present but still want to bid, it is possible to do so by sending an email to eoin_campbell@hotmail.com or a message to 0678054632. Please indicate the name of the object on which you want bet as well as sum. The messages will be taken into account until 17h Sunday 25.
The biggest bet will be placed inside a sealed envelope and will be opened at the end of the bidding on Sunday night. If it turns out, once the envelope is open, that the wagering of the envelope is higher than the maximum bid, the person present at the auction will have priority because it will have the opportunity to offer a bid higher than that of the envelope if it wishes.
